About this game
One country a day from anywhere on earth. Guesses are unlimited, so you will get there eventually. The only question is how many it took. After each guess the globe spins to your pick and shows how close you are.
The percentage is based on the real distance between the centres of the two countries, not on shared borders. That is why a country that does not touch the answer can score high, while a large neighbour whose centre sits far away scores lower.
How to play it well
Do not open with a country you think is the answer. Open with three or four spread wide across the planet: Brazil, Australia, Russia, South Africa. Those will almost certainly miss, but they triangulate the right region in four moves.
The colours are a fixed temperature scale. Blue is very far, purple is closer, then amber, then orange, then red, and green is reserved for the answer alone. A colour never changes meaning between guesses.
Once you hit red you are inside a small area, and that is the moment to switch from big geography to small countries. The most common mistake is to keep trying large nations while the answer is a small one wedged between them.
Drag the globe with your finger or mouse to rotate it. Seeing your guesses spread across the sphere gives you a better sense of direction than reading percentages alone.
The pool is UN member states plus Palestine. Dependencies and territories are not used as daily answers.
