About this game

A clothing label every day, in ten guesses. The cells are country, continent, founding year and price tier.

The pool covers luxury houses, sportswear and fast fashion, plus Gulf retailers anyone who has walked a mall in the region knows: Splash, Max, Ounass and Nisnass.

How to play it well

This game has only four cells, so every guess is worth more than in the others. Do not spend one on a label that resembles what you just tried.

Price tier is the most useful cell. The pool spreads across four tiers from budget to luxury, and luxury is the largest because European fashion houses take up so much of it. Open with something mid-tier like Nike or Lacoste so the arrow gives you clear direction.

Founding years surprise everyone here. Levi's is 1853, Hermès is 1837, Brooks Brothers is 1818, Louis Vuitton is 1854. Anyone assuming old labels are rare will burn several guesses.

Continent splits quickly: Europe holds the Italian, French, Spanish and British houses, North America holds the sportswear and casual labels, Asia holds the Japanese, Chinese, Turkish and Gulf names.
