About this game
A car marque every day, in ten guesses. The cells are country, continent, founding year, whether it is still in production, and price tier.
The pool holds the living and the dead together, from Toyota and Ford to Pontiac, Saab and Trabant, from Rolls-Royce and Bugatti to the new Chinese wave like Zeekr and Omoda. Arab marques are in there too: W Motors, Ceer and Laraki.
How to play it well
The status cell is the fastest way to narrow things. A green on discontinued removes more than two thirds of the pool in one move and leaves you with the dead marques, a group small enough to run through in your head.
Watch the founding year, because it means when the company started, not when it built its first car. Peugeot dates to 1810, when it made coffee grinders and saw blades. Opel dates to 1862 and sewing machines. Changan dates to 1862 and weapons. Those early dates trip up anyone assuming the question is about cars.
Price tier runs budget, mid, premium, luxury, with an arrow for direction. Opening with a mid-tier marque beats opening with a luxury one, because mid sits in the middle of the scale and gives you useful direction either way.
Continent tells you a lot: Europe holds the largest share of this pool, then North America, then Asia.
